By tapping the potential of the interdisciplinary skill base of its personnel, and responding to the need to find suitable purification solutions for the wastewater it generates, the 3V Group has consolidated the wide-ranging expertise it has built up during its twenty-five years of experience.
It is against this backdrop that the 3V Group developed the T.O.P. technology, a cutting-edge wet oxidation process used for the treatment of industrial wastewater and sludge from biological systems. As a result of this success.
3V Green Eagle's technology-referred to as T.O.P. technology because it works on the basis of Temperature, Oxygen and Pressure - has already received numerous international accolades, including the 1990 Best Reparative Technology award from ENEA (the EU delegate for Italy) and the 2005 BAT (Best Available Techniques) award from the IPPC for O.F.C.s (Organic Fine Chemicals).
Figure:
According to this technology organic molecules with high molecular weight, are oxidized by oxygen (or air) in the wet phase at high temperature and pressure levels. The complex organic molecules (which, under normal circumstances, are not biodegradable) are oxidized to become simple, biodegradable molecules, mostly carbon dioxide and water. Due to the particular oxidative conditions, the T.O.P. process differentiates itself markedly from other wet oxidation processes on the market that operate at mid-range or low levels of pressure and temperature.
The innovative operating conditions of the T.O.P. process allow it to deliver excellent results in many applications where other processes are of limited use. When implemented in relation to industrial wastewater with high C.O.D. content, C.O.D. levels are reduced by around 80%, while the remaining C.O.D. (following the treatment) is detoxified, fully decoloured and almost entirely biodegradable, so it can then be processed in a biological plant.
In applying the T.O.P. process to sludge from biological plants, an almost total elimination of the organic content is achieved, producing an inorganic and practically inert substance that is rich in calcium and phosphorous, and can be re-utilized in the industrial cycle as a primary-secondary material.
3v Green Eagle latest innovation is the T.O.P. DUAL process, which treats industrial waste water and biological sludge simultaneously and within the same plant.
